Join our Law as a Career Pre-College Program for an immersive overview of the legal system, key legal concepts, and career pathways in law. Gain insights into law school preparation, courtroom roles, and essential legal skills. Perfect for aspiring legal minds!


Course Outline

  1. Monday: Intro to Law & Constitutional Law
    • Morning: What is Law?, Intro to the Different Areas of Law, How to get to Law School (Pathway from High School to Law School)
    • Constitutional Law -- What do your rights cover?
    • Afternoon: The Roles in the Courtroom- How a Trial Works?
    • Potential field trip to visit the courthouse
  2. Tuesday: Criminal Law Day
    • Morning: Elements/Defenses
    • Afternoon: Advocacy Basics- Trial Skills [Cross/Directs]
  3. Wednesday: Civil Law Day
    • Morning: What is a tort? The Elements of Negligence
    • Afternoon: Openings/Summations
  4. Thursday: Negotiations/Contracts & Dispute Resolution
    • Morning: Negotiation Strategy
    • Afternoon: Shark Tank - Contract Drafting Challenge
    • Evidence Lecture
  5. Friday: Mock Trial
    • Full Mock Trial With Jury Deliberation

ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ the Instructors

Anthony Gazzola is a second-year law student at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½. Graduating from Seton Hall University in 2023 with a Bachelors of Art in Political Science, Anthony worked at a Intensive Law and Trial Summer Camp at Stanford University in California. He has interned the previous 2 summers at the Queens District Attorney's Office and Nassau County District Attorney's Office respectively. In February 2026, Anthony won region 2 of the Texas Young Lawyers Association National Trial Competition and competed at nationals in April.

Daniella Diaz is a second-year law student at Maurice A. Deane School of Law at ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychological Sciences from the University of Connecticut in 2023. Daniella is a member of Hofstra Law Review and competes on Hofstra’s interscholastic trial team. She has competed for over 7 years in mock trial across both her undergraduate and legal education and has received numerous advocacy awards, most recently being named a regional champion at the National Trial Competition.



There is an additional fee for transportation for one-week precollegiate camps.
