What Is Student Learning and Licensure (SL&L)?
The School of Education is committed to providing our Ĵý and faculty with the technology to document the growth and development of professional competencies related to our program offerings. To help us in this effort, we have partnered with Watermark’s Student Learning and Licensure (SL&L). Student Learning and Licensure is a comprehensive data management and learning outcomes assessment system that provides tools for Ĵý, faculty, and administrators that help track and enhance Ĵý’ learning, as well as make assessment and accountability more efficient.
SL&L is used to:
- Create and submit student artifacts for key assessments online. Artifacts will stay with you so you can use them for years, even after graduation.
- Manage and track field placement hours through time logs
- Submit online evaluations of field supervisors/field placement sites
- Submit student teaching applications
- Create electronic portfolios documenting your best work for presentation to faculty and prospective employers
- Have a fully documented record of your field experience work and your experience with student teaching/clinical practice (i.e., lesson plans, etc.)
Additionally, SL&L enhances the school by providing curriculum mapping to accreditation standards and data organization leading to continuous quality improvement.
All Ĵý in teacher education and educational leadership programs within the School of Education are required to purchase a SL&L account to complete selected course assignments, evaluations, student teaching, and field experiences.* You may purchase your account online directly from the Watermark website.
*Please note: If you have previously purchased a TK20 account, you DO NOT have to purchase an additional SL&L account. Follow the instructions below if you are prompted to purchase when logging in.
